The last of Summer suppers


Spicy greens, roast carrots, ricotta salata, black olives, beets and lemon dressing .

My version of nicoise............sardines, yams ,oil cured black olives ,onion ,anchovy ,beans and egg

roasted carrots and beets (obvs)

.......................................looks simple ,even boring right ?.....uh uh!.......toast some sourdough rye ,cut a garlic clove in half and rub it on ,O  yeah!.......... then ,butter it ....you heard me !......gently  press the advocado ,salt it, pepper and a little squeeze of lemon ,maybe . O Heaven!

Where The Hell Have I Been?







.............spending my time wondering how I can come up with reasons to wear inapropriate clothing  -  clearly  .(previous post). Aparently this is old news ......Central St Martins  Research Fellow Suzanne Lee has been playing with her food and ingeniously come upon a method to make clothing from kombucha ....  the article in ..W mag , here .....The more I looked into it the more I liked the idea.  As I found better examples of the clothing the more impressed I was ....it has a texture of thin washed leather .........It's in it's early stages of ..um... growth, as an industry  but it's something that has huge possibilities  in it's application  in textiles,fashion  and beyond and could be the catalyst for other new discoveries.

   
Note: I managed to refrain from  any tacky references to  "it rubs the lotion on its skin"..................until now. It was stronger than me.
